Deputy Chief Donna Seyferth
Deputy Chief Donna Seyferth joined the Rockledge Police Department in May of 1989. She began her career as a reserve officer and a Telecommunicator before being appointed as a Patrol Officer in 1991. She served in the Patrol Division, as a School Resource Officer, the Criminal Investigations Division, Internal Affairs and the Training Division. She rose through the ranks, serving as a Corporal in Patrol and Criminal Investigations. She was promoted in 2004, where she served as a sergeant in Patrol and later in Internal Affairs. In 2009, she was promoted to Lieutenant where she served over support services, then as a watch commander in patrol and finally as a Bureau Commander for the Criminal Investigations Division. Deputy Chief Seyferth is the first female in the history of the department to achieve the ranks of Lieutenant and Deputy Chief.
Deputy Chief Seyferth holds a Bachelors in Science in Public Administration from Barry University and is a graduate from the University of Louisville, Southern Police Institute, 77th Command Officers Development Course.
Captain Patrick Hartselle
Captain Pat Hartselle is the Operations Administrator, commanding both the Patrol and Criminal Investigation functions of the agency. He has been a member of the Rockledge Police Department over 33 years and is second in command.
Captain Hartselle graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology. Captain Hartselle is a graduate of the University of Louisville Southern Police Institute Command Officer Development Course (400 hours). Captain Hartselle is certified by the Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission as a sworn law enforcement officer, a high liability instructor, and he has attained many additional advanced training certificates. Captain Hartselle has also been selected for the agency as Quality Public Service Award recipient, Safety Employee of the Year, Supervisor of the Quarter on three separate occasions, as well as many state, local and departmental merit awards and commendations.
Throughout his career, Captain Hartselle has served the Department as supervisor in the following capacities: Patrol, Training, Communications, Criminal Investigations, Professional Standards, Traffic, Community Relations, Records, Reserve Unit, Crossing Guards, Crisis Negotiation and Emergency Response Team.
Captain Hartselle was born and raised in Rockledge, Florida and has resided here for over 49 years. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, swimming and cycling and yet continues to look forward to serving the City and Department where he has dedicated his career.
