MEETING DATES: Quarterly, or as directed by City Council.
BOARD'S COMPOSITION: Seven (7) members, appointed by City Council to two-year terms. The membership shall consist of the school system, business and industry, school support organizations, the general citizenry, and City Staff.
ABSENCES: Following appointment, any member who has three (3) consecutive unexcused absences (those not approved by the Chair prior to the meeting involved) or a total of four (4) absences during any 12-month period (excused or unexcused) shall automatically be terminated and removed as a member of the committee.
RESPONSIBILITY: To advise the City Council on matters related to educational facilities located within the City limits, their impact on traffic, delivery of services, and general growth patterns of the City, as well as other education issues deemed pertinent by the City Council.
