Rockledge High School Raider JROTC Team
Mayor Schultz recognized the members of the RHS Raider JROTC Team that captured the Florida Army JROTC State Championship in Land Navigation. Those recognized at the March 19, 2008 City Council meeting were Major John Mallamaci, Team Commander Kenny Knight, James Sills, William Perley, Jonathan Reuter, Alex Sarria, Andrew Sarria, Clay Dixon and Mike Suzor. The Pink Robotics Team
Mayor Schultz recognized Marian Passmore, Computer Science & Math Educator at Rockledge High School, who is a vital part of this FIRST (For Inspiration & Recognition of Science & Technology) Robotic Competition Team, and recognized the Pink Robotics Team members for capturing the Engineering Inspiration Award & First Place in the Southeast Regional Competition, The Rockwell Innovation in Control Award & 1st Place at the Hawaiian Regional Competition, The General Motors Industrial Design Award for the World & Winner of the Newton Division, and third place in the Final Four of World Competition. The Council was afforded a demonstration by the robot and team members who were present. Each received a Certificate of Outstanding Achievement and a City pin, along with the congratulations of the Council.
