Annual Reports

Chapter 163, Part III, Florida Statutes authorizes the establishment of and governing principles for community redevelopment agencies. Specifically, section 163.371 sets forth that an annual report, including a financial report and statement for the preceding Fiscal Year, must be submitted to the Redevelopment Agency’s governing body (Rockledge City Council) on or before March 31 of each year.

Although it is not required by statute, the Agency Board of Commissioners and staff believe that it is a best practice to provide a copy of the Annual Report to the Agency’s other taxing entity that contributes to the Agency trust fund (Brevard County), as well as the Special District Information Program in the Department of Economic Opportunity and the Florida Redevelopment Association.
