[ARCHIVED] A Holiday Message from the Department of Public Safety

City Holiday Facebook Profile Picture (1)

The Rockledge Department of Public Safety would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season. Safe traveling is no accident!

It is the time of year for traveling, visiting friends and family, and celebrating the past year while welcoming in the new year. We hope that these reminders help to keep you safe as you travel throughout the holiday season and into 2024:

  • Always wear your safety belts.
  • Always properly use child restraint seats.
  • Secure your furry friends using proper pet restraints or kennels.
  • Make sure that packages are properly loaded - even lightweight ones can cause severe injuries should a collision occur.
  • Never text while driving.
  • Use hands free cell phone options whenever you can.
  • Use your turn signals.
  • Yield to emergency vehicles.
  • Never drink and drive.
  • Leave early, and don't rush.
  • Maintain your vehicle properly.

Happy (and safe) holidays from the Rockledge Department of Public Safety!
