Last week, the Rockledge Department of Public Safety was once again reaccredited with the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation, Inc., (CFA) for the fourth (4th) consecutive time. RDPS proved once again to be in compliance with a total of 231 required standards.
In June 2015, the Rockledge Department of Public Safety received its initial accredited status. Reaccreditation then occurred in 2018 and 2021 as required.
Special thanks to Lieutenant Timothy Herbener and Deputy Chief Donna Seyferth for their leadership and guidance through this process!
Why get accredited?
• It helps operate more professionally and justify operations.
• It promotes trust in the community.
• It offers access to funding and training opportunities.
• It provides standardized policies and framework for self-reflection and evaluation.
